Change in leadership at ThyssenKrupp Rothe Erde Effective June 30, 2013, Dr. Johannes Wozniak, CEO of ThyssenKrupp Rothe Erde GmbH, left the company at his own request. The Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp AG has appointed Mr. Winfried Schulte as his successor. He will take up his new position as CEO effective August 01, 2013. Dr. Karsten Kroos, CEO of the Components Technology business area of ThyssenKrupp AG: “I would like to thank Dr. Wozniak for his sterling efforts on behalf of ThyssenKrupp Rothe Erde. Under his leadership, the company has developed into a global player for the production of slewing bearings, rolled rings and turntables in recent years. Today, Rothe Erde is world market leader in slewing bearings. I wish Dr. Wozniak every success for his professional and private future and would like to extend my best personal wishes.” Dr. Wozniak was appointed management board chairman of ThyssenKrupp Rothe Erde GmbH in 1998. He started his career at Hoesch Rothe Erde AG in 1981 in the research, testing and quality department. He subsequently held management positions as head of research/testing and head of operations before being appointed to the management board of Hoesch Rothe Erde AG in 1993. His successor as CEO, Mr. Winfried Schulte, has been on the management board of Rothe Erde since 2005 with responsibility for sales and procurement. After completing a degree in business administration, he started his career at Hoesch Rothe Erde AG in 1992. He subsequently held management positions in slewing bearing sales and in offshore applications. Furthermore, over the last months Mr. Schulte was intensively involved at Business Area level in the reorganization of the Business Area Components Technology.
